Silent Echoes: Discovering Early Hollywood Through the Films of Buster Keaton
Book Promotion
Challenge:
Author John Bengtson wanted a site to promote his book on his specialty, Keaton film locations then and now. The site needed to show examples of transitional views from the 1920s to today and included a virtual 3D tour of some locations, created by stitching panoramas together with an early version of Live Picture, making it one of the first virtual tours to appear on the web. The site was also used to promote and announce lecture tours by the author, list reviews by prominent critics, and publish the Foreword by noted film historian Kevin Brownlow. Since the site was so small, a hub format was used, the links opening various windows.
