Challenge:

To create a site that resembled a silent movie theater while still using color. Had to appeal to both casual visitors and an international community of film researchers, historians, authors and teachers. Site needed to accommodate full-length, illustrated articles, showcase and promote related film and member events, and encourage membership in the Society to preserve the film legacy of Buster Keaton. Image restoration of source material that was low-res or damaged using authentic tinting and toning techniques.
